A Fake Cp 2 # 4 ¯ Cp
We construct a closed smooth 4-manifold which is homeomorphic but not diffeomorphic to CP#4C̄P 2 and describe its handlebody picture.
متن کاملCP Uiolation hi Neutral - 8 Decays to CP Eigenstates
CP asymmetries in neutral-8 decays to CP eigenstates are studied in the standard model. Whereas usually one assumes a single decay amplitude which induces CP violation via B-B mixing, we investigate additional effects due to two interfering decay amplitudes. We estimate these effects in characteristic cases and suggest ways to experimentally distinguish between these two sources of asymmetries....
متن کاملCp Violation
Three possibilities for the origin of CP violation are discussed: (1) the Standard Model in which all CP violation is due to one parameter in the CKM matrix, (2) the superweak model in which all CP violation is due to new physics and (3) the Standard Model plus new physics. A major goal of B physics is to distinguish these possibilities. CP violation implies time reversal violation (TRV) but di...
متن کاملActivation of SO2 by [Zn(Cp*)2] and [(Cp*)ZnI-ZnI(Cp*)].
Interesting reactivity was observed in reactions of SO2 with [Zn(Cp*)2] and [(Cp*)ZnI-ZnI(Cp*)]. These reactions proceeded with insertion of SO2 into the Zn-C bonds. Spectacularly, the lability of the C-S bond in the O2SCp* ligands led to the thermal decomposition of [Zn(O2SCp*)2(tmeda)] to afford [Zn2(μ-SO3)(μ-S2O4)(tmeda)2].
متن کاملCp Violation*
Predictions for CP violation in the three generation Standard Model are reviewed based on what is known about the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix. Application to the I(and B meson systems are emphasized.
